Auto Enrolment Horsham
The law on Workplace pension has changed. Under the Pensions Act 2008, every employer in the UK must put certain staff into a pension scheme and contribute towards it. This is called ‘automatic enrolment’.
Whether you’re a hairdresser, an architect, or employ a personal care assistant, if you employ at least one person you are an employer and you will have certain legal duties. Both you and your employee will need to pay into the scheme, in order to meet the minimum contribution requirements.
You will have been contacted by the Pension Regulator giving you the Staging Date. Prior to this staging date it is important to choose a Pension Provider, assess staff, write to your staff to tell them how automatic enrolment applies to them. The ongoing duties will include regular, accurate payments, adequate record keeping, dealing with requests to joining and leaving the pension scheme, monitoring the ages and earnings of your staff.
Contact us for assistance on all the above and the monthly maintenance of your auto enrolment duties.
